The Hangover Part 2 delivers as sequel

The Hangover Part 2 (Blu-ray/DVD combo) Warner Bros. Rating 3 ½ out of 5

Though it could never hope to repeat the freshness of The Hangover (2009), as sequels go this isn't bad and it delivers some decent laughs.

Set two years after their infamous Las Vegas Bachelor party, the story finds Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), A l a n (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) in Thailand w h e r e Stu is to marry the gorgeous Lauren (Jamie Chung) at a swanky beach resort.

As in the first movie, the trouble begins when the boys get together for a casual drink ... and group amnesia sets in.

Doug leaves the party early, but next morning, Stu, Alan and Phil wake up miles away in a grubby apartment in a seedy quarter of Bangkok clueless as to how they got there, Stu has a tattoo on his face and there's a monkey in the room chewing on a severed finger.

The trio is also shocked to discover their old adversary Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong) sleeping on the floor. He knows what happened the night before, but before he can tell them he dies after snorting some cocaine.

Encounters with a crime lord, a transsexual prostitute and Mike Tyson are among the surprises as the boys piece events together.

It's not a classic, but it's still good for a raunchy laugh or two.

Four featurettes are included.
