Review by Ottawa Citizen
LIMITLESS Rating 3
Imagine if a drug really did make you smarter. Sure, there was a good chunk of time in the '70s and '80s when people snorted what they thought was brain-enhancing powder, but this movie starring Bradley Cooper features a fictional drug that really does make your synapses fire faster, and more accurately than a normal brain.
With his new superpowers, Cooper's character becomes a major power broker in the big city, but there are forces at play beyond his boosted comprehension. Any drug with that much power is bound to become bait for all the baddies.
Because the plot essentially shortcuts the tradition of selfimprovement montage, this Neil Burger movie finds some surprisingly deep content despite its rather shallow approach.
Special features include A Man Without Limits, Taking It to the Limit, the Making of Limitless, alternative ending, unrated extended cut and more.
