The Washington Post reports that Bradley will participate in the August 27th event in Queens.
NEW YORK — The NBA lockout isn’t keeping Carmelo Anthony from bouncing a ball on a New York court.
The New York Knick is slated to take part in the annual Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day at the U.S. Open in Queens. The Aug. 27 tennis and music event will be held on the eve of the two-week tennis championships.
Defending champions Rafael Nadal and Kim Clijsters (KLY’-sturz) are scheduled to appear there, as well as the world’s No. 1 male player and Wimbledon champion, Novak Djokovic (NOH’-vak JOH’-kuh-vich), and former Open champion Andy Roddick.
Bradley Cooper, singer Cody Simpson, and Anthony’s wife, La La, are also expected to participate.
Anthony says he’s excited to be a part of the U.S. Open and honoring the legacy of Ashe, the late tennis great.
